Walking distance to the National Park and restaurant. Breathtaking views. Waking up to a clear blue sky and all the peaks in view on Nov. 7 was an unforgettable experience.

Set in the peaceful countryside of Omarama, ASURE Sierra Motel offers heated rooms featuring a flat-screen TV with cable channels. Some rooms offer mountain views. I learned not to judge a motel from the roadside.. we were shocked how modern and clean this motel room was once we got inside. Having a fishing store in the lobby is a plus for fishermen like myself. The owner could not have been kinder in helping us with our late arrival, and fishing advise. Much appreciated!!! Really cute A-frame cabins. They were very clean, comfortable and spacious. A short drive to near sights (40ish mins to Lake Tekapo & Mt Cook). staff were great. Would absolutely stay here again!

Set within the Burkes Pass gateway to Mackenzie Country, Burkes Pass Country Motels is centrally located for skiing at Mt Dobson and Roundhill and day trips to Mt Cook. We loved the spacious apartment/motel rooms, everything was clean and in good shape, kitchen had everything we needed. Place is probably great to see the stars as well and just a short driving distance from Lake Tekapo. Everyone there was lovely and accommodating and we even got to hand feed the pet lambs and sheep that lived on the property and had a great chat. The dogs and cat were friendly and cuddly as well. For everyone who wants to stay in the Lake Tekapo area and loves animals this is a unique and great value for money stay!
