Excellent breakfast with many dishes and bakery. Great swimming pool, long enough to swim, clean with beautiful view. Got good recommendations from staff for wine tours and boat tours.

Nature is very beautiful. We lived on a boat, it was a little uncomfortable, but interesting and unusual. We liked everything.

Beautifully located hotel overlooking Douro valley. Great restaurant and lovely pool area. 20 mins away is cute village of Pinhao where you can get boat along the river. Lovely accomodation - Rooms 21 + 20: 2 together in a separate building, perfect for a family or 2 couples.

The quinta and surrounding area were beautiful! Love all the flowers, walking trails, museum and gardens. We took the 1.5 hour boat ride on the river which was beautiful and relaxing. We also enjoyed a wine tasting. The restaurant offered a variety of delicious dinner and breakfast options. The staff was very helpful and went out of their way to fit in our wine tasting and to give us a ride back from the river boat dock. Overall a wonderful stay in a beautiful area! The gift bottle of Port was an added bonus!

Riverside location was unusual and allowed us a close up view of the daily goings-on. Ferradosa is a small and quiet village, but São João da Pesqueira , a good-sized town, is only 15 minutes away. Robert and Phillip, the owners, are very congenial and were quick to provide us whatever we needed. We really enjoyed the boat ride on the river that Robert took us on on a beautiful and sunny day. We both enjoyed talking with him and learning about the Douro area. The Wi-Fi was wonderfully fast; the fastest of our holiday.

The breakfast was great with many options. We also ate at the restaurant which was also very good but the portions weren't as big as you'd get in the cities. Lots of wines to try as they are in Douro. The property is scenic with a lovely pool. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. Filipa was especially helpful in helping to arrange our boat tour and a wine tasting at a nearby Quinta on short notice as we were only staying for one day. 5 stars for the staff.

This place is the very best! Terrific breakfast and everything else was wonderful. Special thanks to Maria for all her help. I loved sitting outside and watching the boats and trains along the river.or hiking around in the vineyards. It was a memorable couple of days.

Maria and her son Miguel were the most fantastic hosts we’ve ever had. they accommodated every need and recommended some fantastic day trips along the beautiful Douro river by train and boat. the breakfast was lovely with fresh fruit and local bread etc. the dinner was fantastic with free flowing port & wine that they produce.

The location was fantastic. not far from Pinhao where we went on a Douro boat trip. staff were always very helpful. Lovely rooms, fantastic views. nice terrace overlooking the river.
